I offer Marriage intensives that provide a direct and focused approach to challenging issues, broken trust, or getting you unstuck. These intensives are custom built around your specific needs. Currently I offer these in my office just outside of Nashville, TN.
Intensives help jumpstart the healing process and more quickly addresses root problems in relationships and individuals lives. I utilize a multi-faceted approach to intensives.
First and foremost, face-to-face counseling is the foundation for the program. The role-playing and real-life communication that happen are the best data points for what needs to be addressed in relationships.
Secondly, I incorporate experiential exercises and reflective homework to facilitate rebuilding trust, respect, and connection.
Lastly, and less tangibly, I integrate some teaching points throughout the process about human behavior, attachment needs, and the psychological/spiritual makeup of humans. I believe that we can all understand and be understood with enough of the story.
I build intensives based around the specific needs of the couple, but always attempt to apply a 1:1 ratio of direct and indirect therapeutic engagement in your intensive. Often what gets stirred up in therapy needs an appropriate amount of time to “metabolize” and not feel overwhelming. I utilize homework and reflective exercises to aid in the integration process of what happens during our time together.
All of my intensives include working lunch with food provided, personalized workbook journals, an initial orientation appointment 2-3 weeks prior to the intensive, and a follow up appointment 2-3 weeks after the intensive. All direct therapeutic work with me will occur at my office in Brentwood. Lodging is not included.
Intensive Options
Two Day Intensive | Thursday-Friday | Cost: $3,375
Suited for individuals or couples who need an extended amount of time to unpack, explore, and get unstuck. This would not be suited for those in crisis or in some kind of time crunch.
Schedule: Thursday evening through Friday afternoon. Includes workbook journal, pre-intensive meeting, 9-10 hours of direct face-to-face therapeutic engagement during the intensive, lunch on Friday, and a follow-up appointment.
Three Day Intensive | Wednesday-Friday | Cost: $4,490
Suited for individuals or couples who feel stuck, facing a significant disruption, broken trusty, betrayal, or need more time to work through key relationship challenges.
Schedule: Wednesday evening, Thursday, and ends Friday afternoon. Includes workbook journal, pre-intensive meeting, 12-14 hours of direct face-to-face therapeutic engagement during the intensive, lunch on Thursday, and a follow-up appointment.
Four Day Intensive | Wednesday-Saturday | Cost: $5,650
Suited for individuals or couples who feel stuck, facing a significant disruption, broken trusty, betrayal, or need more time to work through key relationship challenges.
Schedule: Wednesday evening, Thursday, Friday, and ends Saturday morning. Includes workbook journal, pre-intensive session, 16-18 hours of direct face-to-face therapeutic engagement during the intensive, lunch on Thursday and Friday, and a follow-up appointment.
