Therapists Jason Brown and Samuel Rainey will be facilitating a supervision group for a committed group of 6-8 other therapists who are passionate about growing as a therapist. Over the course of 12 monthly meetings, we will be focusing on core concepts, philosophies, and connection of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. This group qualifies for accruing group supervision hours for LPC candidates (if all 12 meetings are attended, participants will qualify for 32 clock hours of group supervision).

What

12-month supervision group cohort facilitated by seasoned therapists and supervisors Jason Brown, LPC-MHSP, and Samuel Rainey, LPC-MHSP.

When

Monthly meetings on Friday afternoons from 12:30-2:30 starting January 5th, 2024 in Brentwood.

Objectives

Through case presentations and facilitator/group feedback, participants will grow in their therapeutic pacing, ability to disrupt, and creativity with their clients. The “Person of the Therapist” will be a significant focal point for our time together to help you, the clinician, reduce unconscious anxiety that might be getting in the way of the work with your clients. We will also utilize some reading and media reflections between monthly gatherings.

During our time together, we will be following the similar process that our clients experience in therapy with us: Orientation, disorientation, and reorientation. These three acts of the “therapy screen play” coincide with the three main stages of therapy: Joining, “The Work”, and closure. It is our hope that in participating in this group you will grow in your capacity to hold tension with your clients and to learn when to get in and out of the way.

Ideal Participants

Therapists who want more from supervision than accruing hours or “checking the boxes.” Therapists who have been in a private or group practice setting for less than 5-7 years, or for clinicians who are new to private practice.

If you are interested, please fill out the application here. or for more information contact Samuel. Once we receive your application, one of us will will get in touch with you to setup a 10-15 introductory phone call to make sure we are a good fit to work together.

Cost

$145/month. Limited to 8 participants
